Axel Leblois

• Axel Leblois is the co-Founder of W2i, the Wireless Internet Institute, and President of its parent company World Times, Inc. Prior to creating W2i, Axel Leblois spent over 20 years at the helm of information technology companies in the United States including as CEO of Computerworld Communications, CEO of IDC - International Data Corporation, President of Bull HN Worldwide Information Systems - Formerly Honeywell Information Systems and CEO of ExecuTrain. Axel Leblois is a Senior Special Fellow of UNITAR, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, and founding trustee of its North American affiliate CIFAL Atlanta. Axel Leblois holds an MBA from INSEAD and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris.

• Daniel Aghion is Executive Director of The Wireless Internet Institute, formerly Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of GlobeID, Vice President, International of IDE/Aranex; Vice President, Marketing, SoftNet, Director of Marketing, Digital Communications Associates (DCA), founder and Executive Vice President, Sales and Marketing, of Micro Connection International.
Francesca Cesa Bianchi
Director of External Relations
• Francesca Cesa Bianchi has been associated with G3ict since its first Global Forum in March 2007 at UN headquarters in New-York. In her position as Director of External Relations, Ms. Cesa Bianchi oversees media relations, as well as cooperations with international institutions, academia, and the private sector. Prior to her current position, Ms. Cesa Bianchi served as Director of Public Relations for the Georgia Council for International Visitors, freelance writer for CNN Italia, and a Carter Center-accredited election observer in Venezuela in 2003 and 2004. Additionally, Ms. Cesa Bianchi is a Fellow of CIFAL Atlanta, the North American affiliate of the Decentralized Program of the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and a former volunteer with the Southern Center for International Studies and Amnesty International USA. A native of Milan, Italy, Ms. Cesa Bianchi graduated with a degree in political science from the Universitá degli Studi of Milan, and holds a M.A. degree in communication from Georgia State University.
Peter Orne
Editorial Director
• Peter Orne is Editorial Director for W2i, the Wireless Internet Institute and World Times, Inc., served as a U.N.-accredited election observer in East Timor shortly before joining World Times, Inc. in 1999. He was managing editor of The WorldPaper for two years and became World Times's editorial director in 2001. In addition to reporting for California newspapers, Mr. Orne was an editor at Annual Reviews, Inc., the Palo Alto-based science publisher. He holds a bachelor's degree in English and psychology from Wesleyan University in Connecticut and a master's degree in journalism from the University of California at Berkeley.
Pauley Tedoff
G3ict Fellow
• Pauley Tedoff has been associated with G3ict since its launch in December of 2006. Since joining G3ict, Ms. Tedoff has traveled to a number of countries to present the objectives of the Initiative, as well as to organize meetings with partnering organizations. Furthermore, she was the editor of G3ict's recently published book The Accessibility Imperative and was responsible for developing and managing G3ict's Web site. Previously, Ms. Tedoff was Program Coordinator for CIFAL Atlanta, the North American affiliate of UNITAR. She has also worked as Assistant Assignment Editor at CNN’s International Desk at CNN world headquarters. Ms. Tedoff is an honors graduate of Middlebury College and former recipient of a Rohatyn Center for International Affairs research grant. She was recently awarded the Alden G. Lank Prize for Contributions to International Understanding in recognition of original fieldwork in cross-cultural anthropology. A passionate polyglot, Ms. Tedoff has studied over half-a-dozen languages and has pursued extensive coursework in sociolinguistics.
Monica Samanta
G3ict Fellow
• Monica Samanta has been associated with G3ict since September of 2007. Since joining, Ms. Samanta has been responsible for G3ict research activities and has served as the Editor of the G3ict Web site. She graduated from Emory University with a Bachelor’s Degree in May of 2007 having majored in International Relations with a concentration in Conflict and Security in Africa and the Middle East. Ms. Samanta’s interest in the Middle East stemmed from her personal experiences from when she lived abroad in Saudi Arabia from 1990-2000. Her passion in music led her to minor in Music at Emory, with a focus in vocal performance. Ms. Samanta also spent a summer interning at the Democratic Party of Georgia, focusing her work on voter targeting for the 2006 midterm elections.
