UK Department of Health Research and Development Work Relating to Assistive Technologies 2006-2007

• Reports the assistive technology research carried out by the UK Department of Health in 2006-2007. Features projects that indicate the effectiveness of assistive technologies in meeting the needs of a wide range of disabled people, highlighting the growing influence of assistive technologies for a disabled and again population. Research was carried through by the Research and Development Directorate, and covers research and development work carried out by or on behalf of any government department that might increase the range of activities and independence or well being of disabled people. The report describes the wide range of government funded projects supporting the development, introduction and evaluation of assistive technology.
